Vtg Hermes Glass Presentation Keepsake Box Dresser Trinket Case Store Display

VINTAGE HERMES BALL FOOTED GLASS PANEL WITH METAL EDGING HINGED LID BOX. It measures 8.25"x8.25"and is 2.75 tall. It weighs just under 3 pounds. The closest thing I could find to this was on Pinterest, a trash can that looked to be made very similarly; similar ball feet and metal edging along the panels and same Hermes logo markings (circle around the Hermes horses drawn carriage & man with top hat with the circled H). I can only guess what this is, but thought maybe it was a presentation case for something else?

Maybe a silk scarf box? Maybe just a trinket, jewelry or vanity case? Maybe a store counter display case?

Maybe you know and would like to share with me? I'd surely appreciate any info you may have-thanks! It is made of glass panels with a metal edging/trimming and round/ball feet. The metal has a gold-ish or brass color mostly but does have some rub or wear areas to the metal that look a little silver colored and it is soldered in many places where it shows a silvery color (at hinges, lid lift piece, and one weld/solder along each pane of glass). The soldered spots appear to me as how it was made.

Overall the condition is good except the noted wear to the metal, some metal edging is lifted at it's edges and ends, there is one small scratch on lid and on the bottom glass panel along one edge is a tiny flake of glass missing (barely seen without studying it closely). There are a couple black-ish tiny dots and slight bubbles in the glass that were part of the making. There are 34 pictures to look through.
