1960s Schrade Walden Cutlery four-sided, counter-top, store knife display case/stand. Rotates smoothly on circular ball-bearing track, on a square base. Four solid glass sections and thick, glossy, red display boards/panels easily slide in and out. Inside, behind the display boards, are two (top & bottom) storage spaces, with a thick particle board divider. Square top just lifts off.
The display case was never used, but has some age and storage wear. One owner, since the late-1960s. Bronze metal trim has some moderate wear.
Includes six knife display clips on each panel, for a total of 24 display clips. The metal clips show oxidation, though a few still have some shine. Half of the clips have some degree of light corrosion/rust. Display boards can easily removed to touch-up the clips. Display imprinted with : Schrade Walden Cutlery, Established 1904.
Do not know what type of Schrade knives the case was intended to display. The construction is remarkably sturdy, with several types of solid pressed wood & particle-board wood products, and wood veneer.
The unit is 18 high. Glass panes have been cleaned and are scratch-free (anything in photos are just reflections) and each pane is protected by bubble wrap and cardboard (see photo prior to packaging).
